Children's Books Inspired by Venice, Italy
Children's books are wonderful for helping your child prepare for a trip. They can be enjoyed while on vacation and help them to process the sites they saw after returning home. By introducing them to Italy through Italian language and Italian inspired stories you can bring to life and give meaning to the places they see while abroad. Enriching their experience and building lifelong memories.

Venice, Italy was a leading European economic and trading power during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. During this time it was home to the to an extremely wealthy merchant class, who patronized renowned art and architecture along the city's lagoons. Children may be interested to know that "Marco Polo" is not just a game, he was an Venetian merchant, explorer, and writer, born in the Republic of Venice in 1254.
Every year during the Carnival of Venice you will see people wearing the world-famous elaborate masquerade masks. Children will enjoy exploring the small canals and bridges and maybe even a gondola ride in this magical city built on the water.
